Tax time is here!  Carrie Snider, from the CGA and the Coordinator for Post Secondary Sponsorships and Marketing, has provided us with a pamphlet titled "Tax Tips for Students". This informational pamphlet will guide you in filling out your 2007 income tax forms and outline your federal and provincial tax deductions as a student.  Details

 

Carrie Snider, from the CGA has also informed us that the CGA is having another contest.  Details

 

Joshua Li has informed the BAB Association that Quicken 2008 is now available for downloading.  Details

 

The Profile 2007 software is available for downloading.  Details

 

The BAB Club has officially changed their name to the BAB Association and have finalized their Executive.  Joshua Li organized our official campus email address utilizing the College's mail servers.  The new email address for contacting the BAB Association is now:

BABAssociation@georgebrown.ca

 

We are still recruiting more members to participate in the BAB Association.  More members helping us will enable more events for the benefit of students in the program.  Details

 

Alumni's take note!  We would like to know the latest from you and will feature an article for our newsletter.  Send us a few words on your life after George Brown.  Our next newsletter edition will feature the first Alumni article from none other than Kathy Sapota, who successfully passed the CFP exam.

For those graduating in 2008, you must finish your co-op placement by the spring of 2008.  Eligible co-op work terms include a minimum of 360 hours over a 12 week consecutive period.  If you need more details for this requirement, contact Joshua Li at JLi@georgebrown.ca or contact the GBC Co-op Office at (416) 415-5000 ext. 2143 or coopinfo@georgebrown.ca .  Don't forget that your job must be pre-approved by the Co-op Office before commencing work for eligibility.
